Working closely with his colleagues if necessary, Gordon is able to guide patients through their dental care pathway in a well-informed, pain-free and kind manner. From complex treatment programmes to more simple procedures, Gordon has the experience to help patients choose what is right for them.
Gordon came to dentistry after completing a degree in Biology and has always enjoyed the academic aspect of medical science. This helped him win the Dentsply National Student Clinician Award in his final year of dental school.
Gordon has been a vocational trainer at St.James Dental and continues to keep up-to-date with his postgraduate studies. He completed the Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice from the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in 2011 and his postgraduate studies have led to a keen interest in sleep medicine. Gordon is now a registered Somnowell Practitioner, enabling him to provide his patients with the market-leading intraoral device that reduces sleep apnoea and snoring. His success with Somnowell has led to him achieving Platinum status in 2014.
Gordon lives in Dursley with his wife Lindsay and their five children. The whole family is very involved in their local cricket club. Gordon is often seen in the summer months fretting about the weather!

Originally from Nottingham, Chris completed his undergraduate training in Leeds and graduated in the class of 2009 alongside Ollie. After completing vocational training in Yorkshire, Chris spent time working in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then moved to London in 2012 with his wife, who is a GP, to work in General Dental Practice.
Chris enjoys advancing his skills and is currently halfway through completing his masters degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry at the highly regarded Eastman Dental Institute.
Chris is a seventh generation Dentist – his dentistry ancestors go back to a Barber Dentist in the mid 1800s! Chris’ mum is a Dental Hygienist and having been brought up in family dentistry, Chris now enjoys seeing families and treating adults and children with the same dedication to care and attention. Chris creates a relaxed atmosphere for his patients and takes pride in involving his patients in their treatment from start to finish.
Chris lives locally in Cheltenham with his wife, two sons and daughter. He enjoys being active, particularly with running and swimming.
Chris enjoys watching rugby at both international and club level. He regularly follows Leicester Tigers and is looking forward to watching them play Gloucester at the Kingsholm stadium. He won’t go as far to say that his allegiance will change anytime soon though!
She continued in Foundation Training, splitting the year to work in both a community post caring for children and vulnerable adults and a hospital post in Oral Surgery.
Enjoying the hospital setting, Alana undertook further advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, taking up a post as a Senior House Officer in Morriston Hospital in Swansea, a position she held for 3 and half years. In February 2017, she decided to pursue her main interest in dentistry, taking up her final hospital post as a locum specialty doctor in Orthodontics, again in Morriston Hospital.
Following a year-long break to start a family with her husband, Alana returned to St. James in October 2019 to provide orthodontic treatment and children’s general dentistry. Alana is currently completing her Master’s degree in Orthodontics at the University of Warwick.
In her spare time Alana enjoys time outdoors with her family, exploring all the Welsh coastline has to offer on their doorstep in Mumbles, Swansea.
Since qualifying from Leeds in 2011, Alix has worked in practices in York and Gloucester before moving to St.James Dental.
Alix now particularly enjoys treating young adults and children. Her natural calming manner helps patients of all ages through their time at St. James Dental. Alix’s gentle approach allows anxious patients and children to overcome their fears of dentistry and complete their treatment with confidence.
Alix also has a passion for facial aesthetics and in combination with her dental training offers a unique approach to botox, facial fillers, thread lifting and dermaroller skin rejuvenation. Alix has undergone extensive training with Dr Bob Khanna, one of Europe’s leading experts, to develop the most contemporary and reliable techniques to manage all of your cosmetic concerns such as resolving acne scarring, preventing the development of future wrinkles or turning back the clock with facial fillers and threadlifting.
Alix lives locally with her husband, two sons Arthur and Edward and wirehaired Vizslas Penny and Winnie. Alix is a keen Crossfit athlete and skier.
He then moved to the UK in 2011 where he continued his career at a private practice in Warwickshire.
He is passionate about dentistry and providing exceptional patient care. Chavdar has continued with his professional development by undertaking numerous postgraduate courses in the areas of Aesthetic Dentistry, Endodontics, Periodontics and has a certificate in Evidence Based Implant and Restorative Dentistry from the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry.
Chavdar lives in Gloucester with his wife Maya, who is a pharmacist, and his young son Georgi. They all love to spend time outside in the parks, walking and riding their bikes as a family. Chavdar is a talented pianist and loves all kinds of sport. He likes to play football with his son and plays badminton weekly with his wife.
He then went on to complete his dental foundation training in Caerphilly, where he gained invaluable experience in NHS dentistry. Having completed his training in Wales, he moved to Bristol to join a private practice in Somerset.
Jaymin has been recognised for his gentle style of dentistry and centres his care on being as minimally invasive as possible. It is of importance to him that his patients feel comfortable and well informed about the treatment options available to them, and he does this in an empathetic and kind-natured manner. Jaymin has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign (tooth alignment), whitening and cosmetic fillings, allowing his patients to achieve the smile they have always wanted.
Outside of work, Jaymin enjoys a range of sports, including golf, cricket and football. In an attempt to look after his hands, he finds himself playing more golf at the moment. Jaymin also enjoys the art of cooking and is constantly trying new recipes from the many cookbooks he is working through.
After five years of study, Simi graduated with distinction in Restorative Dentistry and was nominated for the London University Gold Medal.
Since qualifying, Simi has worked in NHS and Private practice in London and then for HM Government overseas. Simi joined St.James Dental in 2002 and soon gained a reputation for gentle, quality dentistry.
Simi currently provides intravenous (IV) sedation for anxious and phobic patients. She is passionate about making your dental experience as pleasant and as pain-free as possible. Dental Sedation enables even the most nervous of patients to accept their dental treatment in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Simi is married with 2 daughters. They have a couple of tortoises and 4 chickens. Simi is a proficient skier and keen gardener.

Since qualifying from Leeds University in 2009, he has dedicated the last decade to continual study, striving to excel in the field of dentistry. He attained Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties in 2011, obtained his Master’s degree with Distinction in Restorative Dentistry and his Diploma degree with Merit in Endodontics from the highly regarded and world-renowned University College of London Eastman Dental Institute. Ollie has now embarked on another Master’s degree in Implantology at the University of Bristol and hopes to bring all these disciplines together in a unique approach to patient care. By striving for excellence, he hopes to achieve greatness, both for you and your smile. Dentistry is his passion, and you deserve the best.

Ollie’s understanding of complex cases allows him to manage even the most broken down and deteriorated mouths using predictable and reliable methods. Ollie uses a patient-centred approach to guide you through your treatment in a friendly and approachable manner, helping to educate you throughout your time at St. James Dental, Quedgeley and achieve the results you are looking for.
Ollie brings a meticulous attention to detail to all aspects of dentistry, allowing him to provide the very finest restorative and cosmetic care. He takes great pride in the dentistry he delivers and this continues to fuel his appetite for further study. Ollie is now a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and working towards accreditation.
Ollie is fully certified to provide Mini Smile Makeovers, a same day smile transformation using composite resin to create stunning results. He can improve the appearance of worn or chipped teeth, restore black triangles, reshape peg laterals or reduce diastemas with zero or minimal tooth preparation, using a more cost-effective approach than traditional porcelain restorations.

Ollie lives locally with his wife, their 2 young boys, Arthur and Edward, and two very active wirehaired Vizslas, Penny and Winnie. Ollie has always been passionate about health and fitness and, when his work diary permits, tries to keep in shape with an early morning workout before work.
She worked as a dentist in the RAF for 8 years, treating military personnel and their families both in the UK and overseas before moving to St James Dental in 2019.
She was awarded Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons England in 2013 and was awarded a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies at the University of Bristol in 2021.
Naomi has a relaxed and professional manner and is passionate about delivering high-quality dentistry for the whole family. With her caring and sympathetic nature, Naomi provides a friendly, stress-free environment for all of her patients. Naomi enjoys all aspects of general dentistry; she focuses on a preventative approach and is a strong advocate of minimally invasive techniques.
Naomi lives locally with her husband and young daughters. Outside the practice she enjoys the outdoors and keeping fit. She is a keen skier and is also a qualified yoga teacher.
She then worked in a Dental Practice in Stroud before moving to St.James Dental in 1990. Her part-time study at the University of Bristol over four years resulted in the award of a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 1996.
Over the past 25 years in Quedgeley, Helen has built up a reputation for providing quality, gentle dental care for the whole family in a calm and friendly manner. She enjoys providing this continuity of care and has now treated several generations of many local families. Helen has a particular interest in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry.
Helen lives in Gloucester with her husband and has two grown-up children. She enjoys walking their two dogs in the countryside and can often be found in the Shed at Kingsholm supporting Gloucester Rugby Club.

Georgina is a diligent and empathetic clinician, who, since qualifying from the University of Bristol has demonstrated an enduring commitment to professional development. This desire to challenge herself and her reflective mindset pushes her to proactively pursue advancement in patient care and avoid complacency. She treats each patient as an individual and works with them and dental team members to ensure provision of the most appropriate treatments and the best outcomes for them.
Over a career of nearly 16 years in the Royal Army Dental Corps, Georgina has treated patients from all walks of life and in many environments. During this time, she attained her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties in 2012 and completed a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies with Merit in 2015. She has also been involved in Forensic Dentistry since 2016. She has further postgraduate qualifications in Leadership and Management and is nearing completion of a Masters in this subject. In 2022, she attained Associate Fellowship of the College of General Dentistry.
Georgina continues to strive for excellence in patient care and is currently undertaking a L7 Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry. She invests heavily in professional courses, to enhance the service she can provide to patients, in topics ranging from advanced composite techniques, occlusion, dental photography and learning Makaton to aid communication with our youngest patients.
Georgina lives with her husband and two young sons in South Cerney. She spends her time outside work keeping fit and active with her family, helping out with her local Scout group and when she has the chance, she enjoys craft activities, writing letters and reading.
He began his career in Somerset, where he completed his foundation training and started life as an associate. Here, he carried out a mix of NHS and private work.
Chris is very keen on putting his patients first and making them feel as comfortable as possible in the dental chair. He has a kind, personal approach and will always listen to his patients’ concerns to help inform them of all the available options. Chris’ main goal as a clinician is to improve his patients’ confidence, be it through general or more cosmetic dentistry. He centres on a preventative and minimally-invasive approach.
After graduating, Chris never left Bristol, and he lives here still with his partner and cat. He enjoys spending weekends exercising and exploring new places. Chris is a keen sportsman, and is also a qualified tennis coach.
She gained her National Certificate in Dental Nursing during her time there.
Karen is passionate about her work and has a wealth of experience after many years working as a dental hygienist. Karen particularly enjoys the challenge of patients with advanced gum disease, dry mouth syndrome and sensitive teeth.
After several years working as a dental hygienist in Poland, Ewa decided to travel. As her dental qualifications are recognised worldwide, she came to England in 2006 and joined St.James Dental initially as a Dental and Hygienist Nurse. Having completed her English Hygiene courses at The Bristol Dental Hospital and The King’s College in London, Ewa was successful in getting her qualifications fully accredited in the UK and re-established her clinical care career in June 2010. Ewa, who is married with one young son, joined St.James Dental as a Dental Hygienist in August 2012.
Her hobbies include travel, sport, foreign languages and music (playing an electric guitar). She also enjoys acting as our translator for Polish patients who attend St.James Dental.
Ewa will help you achieve a healthy mouth by giving the best possible hygiene treatment and advice in a relaxed, cheerful but above all caring environment.
She started her dental nursing career in 1991 and joined St.James Dental in 1993, where she went on to gain her National Certificate from the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses on 20 May 1995.
Andrea furthered her career in 2007 with a certificate in dental implant nursing and again in 2013, gaining her British Dental Association qualification in dental radiography.
Andrea was promoted to Practice Manager in January 2017. With over 25 years of nursing and managerial experience, Andrea fully understands the attention to detail that each patient has come to expect, deserve and that we as a practice aspire to. Andrea strives to deliver the very highest standards and care to patients, staff and suppliers of St.James Dental. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Robbie trained as a Pharmacy Technician at GK Chemist and remained in that environment for 10 years.
After a short career break to raise her family, Robbie then took a position as a part-time supervisor at Debenhams whilst continuing to study Information and Business Technology in the evenings at Gloucester College.
Robbie joined St.James in 2001 as a Patient Advisor and was promoted to Reception Manager in January 2013. Robbie is married with two daughters and four grandchildren.

Jaime is caring, approachable and bubbly, and with over 15 years dental nursing experience she can talk you through any aspect of your treatment or treatment plan. With a breadth of knowledge from working with multiple dentists over the years, and undergoing cosmetic orthodontics herself with Nicki Steel, Jaime has the time to help you understand what you want or need to know.
During her time at St.James Dental, Kylie has gained valuable knowledge in different aspects of dental nursing, including dental implants, and completed the Oral Health Educators (OHE) training in April 2016, receiving the highest grade. Kylie uses her calm and professional manner to advise and encourage patients on improving their oral health.
Kylie is available to visit schools, clubs or social groups giving interesting and informative Oral Health Education talks. Please contact our Patient Coordinator to arrange.
Rachel went on to complete her Radiography Qualification in 2014 and her Oral Health Educators (OHE) training in 2015. During her time at St.James, Rachel has worked alongside all of our dentists and our Orthodontist Nicola Steel, gaining proficient knowledge within all aspects of Orthodontics and general Dentistry.
Rachel studied Education at the University of Gloucestershire whilst working at St.James, where her passion for education can be used within a healthcare environment. Rachel prides herself on making oral health education a fun and enjoyable experience for children. Her advanced knowledge and understanding from within an educational setting, along with the time spent with children during her studies, has provided Rachel with the experience and skills to offer a unique approach to oral health education.
