Traditional Fixed Braces

circle

Proven, reliable and effective treatment

Fixed braces are the long-established choice, traditionally made from metal brackets fitted to the teeth with a metal wire placed through. The treatment delivers precise and accurate results and is especially effective in more complex cases, where more problematic issues need to be corrected.

Why choose fixed braces?

Fixed braces have a number of advantages. As they can’t be removed, the braces are always working on straightening your teeth without any interruptions to treatment. Although not as aesthetically pleasing as some straightening options today, fixed braces are more affordable, reliable and often achieve faster results. They are also much more comfortable and discreet.

What does treatment involve?

Fixed braces treatment typically lasts between 12 and 24 months, but does vary depending on each individual patient.

  • Initially we see you for a consultation appointment, where we discuss your ideal result and take images of your teeth. We create your treatment plan and ensure you have the chance to ask any questions.
  • At your fitting appointment, we will fix your braces to your teeth. It’s normal to feel some mild tightness and discomfort for the first few days which can be managed with painkillers.
  • We will see you regularly to check on your treatment progress and adjust your braces if necessary.
  • When your treatment is complete, your braces will be removed – get ready to show off your new smile! We give you a retainer and advise you how to wear this to ensure you maintain your straight teeth for the long term.
