Oliver Stew used a variety of restorative and prosthodontic treatments to restore this patient's smile. PC was unhappy with the appearance and function of his damaged teeth and had worn a denture for many years.
We used a combination of white composite resin and adhesive porcelain to restore 19 of his teeth back to their original shape and appearance. We replaced his top denture with a large span porcelain bridge by lightly preparing three teeth, and we filled his bottom gap with a smaller porcelain bridge by replacing two old crowns.
We used a diagnostic wax up to demonstrate the proposed end result and ensure absolute accuracy when preparing his teeth (to ensure as little tooth was prepared as possible to achieve the desired goal).
After many years, PC can finally eat and smile with complete confidence, never having to take out his denture again or worrying about his teeth wearing away.

When EI was assaulted, his front two teeth were broken, the nerves were exposed, and the teeth subsequently died. Oliver Stew performed root canal treatment in order to preserve the remaining roots and prevent infection. We restored both teeth back to their original shape and form using white composite resin. This same day transformation has restored the patients self-esteem, allowing him to smile again with complete confidence.

Oliver Stew used a combination of tooth whitening, porcelain veneers and a single porcelain bridge to transform this patient's smile. HB was unhappy with the appearance of her spaced & discoloured teeth and wanted a brighter and whiter smile.
After some periodontal treatment with the hygienist, we whitened her teeth to improve their overall shade. We then used porcelain veneers and a single porcelain bridge to restore and improve the appearance of 7 of her teeth.
We used dental imaging software to digitally create the smile that we wanted and visualise the proposed end result. Using a 3-dimensional printed model we verified our progress along the way ensuring minimal tooth structure was removed in order to achieve the desired goal.
After many years, HB can be proud of her teeth and finally smile with complete confidence.

I have been unhappy with my smile for many years. My teeth were discoloured and there were gaps between my teeth caused through receding gums. I also had a bridge which was ill-fitting. I didn't like to have my photos taken because I didn't like my smile.
I first went to see Ollie in June 2021. After a full examination and diagnostics, Ollie explained all the options available to me so I was able to make an informed choice about my treatment.
I chose to have porcelain veneers in the front and a new bridge. During the treatment process everything was explained to me and Ollie was very professional and passionate about his work. Both Ollie and his nurse were patient and reassuring. Although the procedure took several hours at a time, I was made to feel as comfortable as possible and Ollie would check throughout the process that I was pain-free and without discomfort.
The treatment took three months to complete and I am thrilled with the results. I look forward to having my photo taken now and as a result I feel more confident in myself and most definitely my smile.

Oliver Stew used a variety of restorative, prosthodontic and endodontic treatments to restore this patient's smile. ER was unhappy with the appearance of her teeth following years of gum recession and tooth discolouration.
We performed root canal treatment, tooth whitening, replaced two porcelain crowns and a porcelain bridge, used adhesive porcelain to reinforce a weakened tooth and used white composite resin to improve the appearance of 6 teeth.
Composite resin offers an excellent alternative to porcelain veneers, with almost zero tooth preparation yet still achieving a fantastic aesthetic result.
After many years, ER can finally smile again with complete confidence.

I have had crowns on my top two front teeth and bridge near to them for many years, and gums had gradually receded exposing dark tops where the underlying metal was visible and a gap over the bridge.
There was also yellowing because of recession at the top of some other front teeth. Reluctance to smile for photos, as well as receiving a few comments about having spinach or other such food in my teeth, prompted me to ask Ollie for his advice. He put together a plan with options for treatment and helped me understand clearly the pros and cons of each. Once I had made my decision and eventually started treatment, it was a long job but Ollie’s patience, together with his expertise and attention to minor detail, gave me reassurance.
I am delighted with the results and so happy to be able to smile as widely as I want now without the thought of any more well-meant but upsetting comments. Thank you, Ollie and team!

Nicki Steel used fixed orthodontics and Clarity™ ceramic brackets to straighten this patient’s smile. AP was self-conscious about her smile and unhappy with her crowding and uneven bite.
She needed one premolar extraction to make sufficient space for the treatment.
Using a combination of wires and elastics, her teeth were straightened, the open bite reduced, and her overall bite improved over a period of 18 months. Clarity™ ceramic brackets offered a discreet solution that blended in with her own natural teeth. Once complete, fixed wires (retainers) were attached to the back of her front teeth (top and bottom) to keep them in position and ensure a long-lasting straight smile.

Oliver Stew used 5 porcelain veneers to restore this patient's smile. DS was unhappy with the spacing of his front teeth. One adult canine never came through making his smile off centre and asymmetrical.
His front 5 teeth were restored with porcelain veneers to close the spacing and improve/correct his smile (centre line & symmetry).

A large gap has always been present between my front two teeth. Over the years this became unsightly or at the very least more noticeable. Following an in-depth discussion with Oliver, we explored various options that were available to me should I wish to improve my smile.
At no time did I feel pressurised to undertake treatment, in fact the contrary. Oliver explained all the procedures I would have to undertake for my treatment. This made the whole decision-making process very comfortable and informative. The treatment itself, albeit several hours in length, was carried out extremely well by Oliver and his nurse. At no time did I feel uncomfortable or uneasy and teatime passed without concern.
Following the procedure, I was extremely happy with the result. It felt as though they had been there all my life. I would have no problem recommending this procedure to anyone wishing to have this done at St.James, especially with Oliver. I couldn't be happier.
