Examinations

Our New Patient Examination is 30 minutes long and consists of taking an x-ray (if necessary), a thorough dental examination of the health of your gums, teeth and mouth and a full mouth cancer check. Your dentist will also take the time to get to know you and discuss any treatment required in full and any concerns you may have. You will be issued with a full treatment plan and estimate to help you make an informed decision on how you would like to proceed.

After your appointment, you will have the opportunity to speak to our Patient Co-ordinator about your treatment plan. You may wish to ask her about our wide range of services or about Denplan membership. You will find her friendly and approachable with a wealth of information and knowledge.

It is usually recommended that you have a dental check-up every six months. However, this can vary depending on your individual oral health needs.
How can I overcome dental anxiety?
Techniques like relaxation exercises, open communication with your dentist, and exploring sedation options can help manage dental anxiety.
How can I improve my oral health?
To maintain good oral health, brush your teeth twice a day, floss daily, use mouthwash, and visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings. A balanced diet and avoiding excessive sugary foods and drinks are also important.
What are the signs and symptoms of gum disease?
Gum disease, or periodontitis, is a serious infection of the gums and bone that support your teeth. Symptoms include red, swollen, or tender gums, bad breath, loose teeth, and pain when chewing.
