We firmly believe that preventative dentistry is, as it says, dental care that’s aimed at preventing rather than treating. If you follow a preventative approach to your oral health you are unlikely to need unexpected and potentially costly treatment in the future.
Payment plans can help you with this by allowing you to budget for your dental care, encouraging you to see your dentist on a regular basis, and prioritising your oral health.
As your patient co-ordinator, think of Amanda as your ambassador from your very first enquiry to the very end of your treatment. She is available to you at any time throughout your care.
Our dentists will take the time to advise you on the best way to look after your teeth and gums. They will also be less restricted on the dental treatment and materials they can offer you. We want your visits to always be a positive and pleasant experience.
All practising dentists in the UK have to be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who regulate and inspect dental practices.
The Denplan Excel certification programme is an additional mark of quality. To join Denplan Excel, a practice must demonstrate continued commitment to quality improvement. Practices must also pledge to use the most appropriate procedures and dental knowledge to ensure patients are receiving the highest standards of care from start to finish, and encourage patients to be involved in any decision making stages.
We are very proud to be one of only a handful of Denplan Excel certified practices in Gloucestershire. In order to maintain our certification, we are regularly assessed by highly qualified Practice Advisors to ensure that we are complying with, and in many cases, exceeding the statutory regulations and recommendations for best practice in dentistry. Fewer than 5% of dentists in the UK are Denplan Excel certified so you can be confident that you are in very safe hands at St.James Dental.
At St.James Dental we have a choice of two different plans to suit your individual needs:
Your dentist can help you choose which is the best plan for you.
A preventative plan that encourages you to visit the dentist more regularly, providing you with more confidence in your smile and saving you money.
It’s an easy way of keeping up the great habit of regular examinations and hygiene treatment, helping you and your St.James dentist to spot and avoid any dental problems before they happen.
A comprehensive dental plan that pays for all your routine preventative dental care, including dental examinations, dental x-rays, hygienist appointments and all routine restorative treatment such as fillings, extractions and root canal treatment. If you require a crown, denture or bridge then you will only have to pay the laboratory charges, saving you a significant amount of money.
You must be dentally fit before you can join the plan. After an initial or routine examination, your dentist can determine which category of Denplan Care is right for you. Your monthly fee is based on your current oral health and your risk of future treatment. It varies according to how much time you are likely to spend at the practice for treatment and hygienist appointments.
