Specialist Orthodontist

Phil graduated in dentistry from the University of Manchester in 2013. After completing vocational training in Stroud, he trained in paediatric dentistry for a year at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London followed by two years spent working in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Liverpool. He returned to the South West with his wife, also a dentist, to embark on Specialist Training in Orthodontics.

He completed his specialist training at Bristol Dental Hospital and the Royal United Hospital in Bath, graduating with a Doctorate (DDS) in Orthodontics at the University of Bristol and Membership in Orthodontics awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is on the GDC specialist list for orthodontics and holds membership of the British Orthodontic Society.

Phil is delighted to have joined St. James Dental. He is able to offer a range of treatment options, including traditional fixed braces, ceramic fixed braces for a more aesthetic option, and is certified to provide treatment using Invisalign – a very discreet system of clear aligners and the 3M Incognito lingual system. He prides himself on his good communication skills, putting patients at ease and creating a relaxed atmosphere.

In his spare time Phil enjoys spending time chasing after his highly energetic young son, Theo. He is a keen skier and enjoys playing tennis when he gets the time!
